How does it get there?
After it has been moved by train from one side of the country to the other, it arrives in Lyttelton.
The Lyttelton Port Company is the largest coal export facility in New Zealand. It welcomes vessels with a maximum draught of 12.4 metres. Their coal shiploader has a conveyer system which can load from 600 to 1600 Tonnes per hour, with a 24-hour operation.
